Title: "Rupture No 1: Blowtorching The Bitten Peach" (2021)

Initially, seeing this piece I did not understand that the installation art spanned into several corridors. I was intrigued by the lighting that creating a calming atmosphere. The objects in the space are very big drawing in the viewers, which makes it seem like they are walking through a dream state. My personal favorite part of this art are the bulls, suspended speakers, and the silo filled with sand and gas tanks. The bulls catch my interest due to the use of recycled material. Yet, behind the innovative use of materials the meaning is very dark. The bulls can symbolize the government and or consumers racing to "drink" the oil symbolizing the fight in the oil industry. There is a sense of competition because there are four bulls standing around the pool instead of one. The suspended speakers make the viewers look all the way up utilizing height opposed to placing something eye level. The sounds in the space were captivating drawing the viewer. The silo room did this as well. There were sounds of wind and a faint banging sound echoing from the silo, which grew louder as you got closer. I found the silo so compelling especially since the surroundings were bare which drew you straight to it. As well as the warm lighting inside the silo contrast the cool blue lighting on the outside.

On the left, I was heading home and saw the light reflecting off the concrete and it made me think of the artist and decided to include this as an inspiration piece.
