AM - Collage

In the fist photo, I painted the background blue to represent the water and then using pieces I cut out in a magazine I created a coral bed. The two tall colorful structures on the side are supposed regulate the temperature in the water to prevent coral bleaching. Coral bleaching is when the rising temperatures kill off the algae that shares a mutual relationship with the coral. This leads to the coral not getting enough nutrients, then dying and turning white, which is why it is called coral bleaching. (Hancock, L)

In the second photo, I decided to size down the paper as it left too much negative space in the middle.

In the third photo, I added a grey cloud to symbolize pollution since the temperature regulating structures do not fix this. I thought by adding it still showed that there are more problems that need to be fixed that are not being fixed.
